Khadda
Privacy policy. Last updated 4 November 2026.
Khadda is a web page at this address for reporting potholes to the municipal authority responsible for the road. It is run by one person, not a company, and it has no server, no database and no accounts. This page explains what happens to your information when you use it.
What Khadda collects, and where it goes
- Your photo. It is resized on your phone and attached to the complaint email. It is not uploaded anywhere else.
- Your location. The phone's GPS position, or the position stored in a photo you chose, is used to find the address and the responsible authority. The coordinates and a map link go in the email.
- Your name and phone number. You type these once. They are saved in your browser's storage on your own phone and used only to sign the email. Officials usually need a name to act on a complaint. The phone number is optional.
- Your sent reports. A short list of what you have sent, with the date, place and authority, is kept in your browser's storage on your phone so you can see it later. Nothing is sent to us.
Khadda has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
Services the page talks to
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim receives your coordinates and returns an address. See the OpenStreetMap privacy policy.
- Overpass API receives your coordinates and returns the names of nearby roads, so Khadda can tell if the road is a national or state highway.
- Google provides the sign-in, the Gmail sending described below, and the fonts on the page.
How Khadda uses your Google account
When you tap send, Khadda asks Google for permission to send email on your behalf. This is the only Google permission it asks for, called gmail.send. With it, Khadda does exactly one thing: it sends the complaint you have just read and confirmed, from your own Gmail address, to the authority shown on the screen. A copy appears in your Gmail Sent folder, and any reply comes to your inbox.
Khadda cannot read your email, see your contacts, change your settings or delete anything. The permission token Google gives the page lives only in your browser's memory while the page is open, and is never stored or sent anywhere.
Khadda's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can remove Khadda's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Who receives your complaint
The email goes to the municipal corporation or council that Khadda matches to the address, using the public contact addresses listed in the project's authority list. You see the recipient, the subject and the full text before anything is sent, and you can change any of it. Once sent, the email is in the authority's hands and subject to their own rules.
Deleting your data
Everything Khadda keeps is in your browser's storage on your phone. Clearing site data for this page in your browser settings removes all of it. There is nothing to delete on our side, because we hold nothing.
Children
Khadda is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes and contact
